The company works with experienced practitioners from various backgrounds and nationalities nurturing their individuality and life experience to create work that is physically demanding, emotional and raw in its approach and performance. Appealing to a broad audience range WSP challenges the perception of dance theatre through the use of human emotions. Through our film work we challenge perceptions of reality by creating short dance, non – fiction and social documentary films that question our place within society.
WSP has a distinctive Education and Community outreach programme. We offer supportive, creative environments in which people of different ages and abilities can participate and develop their skills in dance theatre and film. WSP believes all its work should inspire provoke and question, encouraging a sense of creative achievement. Our approach is person-centred, building confidence and self-esteem, and raising awareness of the social, physical and personal benefits dance can bring.
