TC Howard

TC graduated from Middlesex Polytechnic with a First Class Hons (dance major) in Performing Arts. In combination with her work as a performer TC is a teacher and facilitator in many different areas of dance and theatre.

She has taught children in the rice fields of Cambodia, Cornish fishermen on the cliffs of Boscastle and young people in the cotton mills of Oldham. She works with professional and non-professional groups which include mixed ability, special needs and cross-generation.

TC worked for seven years in Ludus Dance Company as dancer/teacher and went on to work with the David Glass Ensemble, playing ‘Thing’ in Gormenghast, choreographing La Dolce Vita and working with street children and care workers for eighteen months in a Third World project called ‘The Lost ChildTrilogy’.

Other work includes V-Tol Dance Company’s ‘By Force Of Fantasy’ and ‘The Snowball Effect’ – a Dance 4 Camera BBC short, and The Hot House Dance Company for the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra.

She choreographed ‘Sold’ and ‘Underworld’for Frantic Assembly, ‘Clash’ for Ludus, ‘When The Shops Shut’ for Sea Scape and ‘SaveThe Last Dance’ for Anjali. Other companies include Northern Broadsides, Red Ladder, Horse & Bamboo, Opera Circus, Introdans (Holland), Handicapacae (Germany) and various theatres including Bolton Octagon and Manchester Royal Exchange.

She has most recently been in close collaboration with Vincent Dance Theatre as dancer/teacher and Associate Artist, performing and devising work with them for eight years, the latest productions being ‘Broken Chords’, ‘Fairy Tale’and ‘Shifting Intimacies’ an interactive installation piece at the South Bank.
