Education
WSP education works with various groups of people of all ages from all social, economic, religious and cultural backgrounds. We believe that dance is inclusive and should celebrate us as people.
We work within the mainstream educational system providing one-off workshops to full year programmes and everything in-between designed to aid the national curriculum.
Alongside our education we work with various groups in the community. WSP have strong links with Doncaster Community Arts, Yorkshire Dance Centre and Dance United who we regularly collaborate and work with.
Choreography
Participants will get the chance to work directly with Wayne Sables Company members and experience WSP choreographic approach to choreography.
Using a combination of original material and examples from the company’s repertoire, participants will have a chance to experience WSP’s process in creating and performing dance theatre.
Dance film
Participants will have the opportunity to experience choreography made for the camera through ‘hands on’ practise. They will be taken through the different stages of creating dance for the camera from its creation to the final product.
The workshops will be practical and task orientated. The participants will create and show fragments of the days/weeks work; this will then be followed by feedback from WSP’s workshop leaders. The workshop hopes to give participants new ideas and ways to use in their own work.
All WSP artists are CRB checked.

“Having seen Wayne Sables Project at the Yorkshire Dance Centre our pupils and members of staff were inspired by the quality of their work and wanted to work directly with the company. Wayne Sables Project created a highly imaginative piece of dance film with a group of year 10 BTEC Dance pupils over a ten week period. Throughout the project all of our pupils were pushed physically and creatively, thus producing an incredible dance film that Kingstone School are extremely proud of, further more the dance film will be on our school web site to show a much wider audience of the fantastic work achieved from the project. We will definitely be working again with Wayne Sables Project in the near future and would highly recommend them.”
