Digital Dance for Universities

Through a week long intensive residency WSP work with universities and their dance students to explore choreography and digital technology. Over the past 5 years we have been working with Arts University Bournemouth to develop a unique model of study. The week breaks down as follows;

Day 1: WSP company class, exploration and development of movement based on release technique, improvisation and lifts, choreography.

Day 2: Introduction to screen dance, create dance for camera.

Day 3: Introduction of projection mapping, create dance and projection mapped work.

Day 4: Introduction of light, create dance and light work.

Day 5: Introduction to mobile technologies, create work using mobile devises.

Each day one or two dancers will take a leadership / direction role and develop their practise through exploration and merging dance with technology.
